Arts and Academic Night

Thomson School Arts and Academic Night – April 11, 2013

Arts and Academic night is Thursday, April 11th.  The 4th grade time slot is from 7:00 until 7:45.  Beginning at 7:00 we will have some time in the classroom for students to share what we've been working on lately, maybe even some poetry. At 7:20 we will be due in the gym for the musical performance. Students are asked to wear black bottoms and white shirts and it is important they remember recorders for the performance.

We emptied our last box of tissues during MCAS on Monday.  Any donations are much appreciated!!

 

Growing in 4T

Thanks to several members of 4T (to be listed here tomorrow) who used their recess time to help start my vegetable garden from seed! Stay tuned to see how it all progresses...

Fraction Fish

Just a few of our Fraction Fish

Today we created sea creatures using circles and fractional parts of a circle.  Students first found equivalent fractions to 1 whole and then identified those parts such as 1 whole, 1/2, 1/4,  1/6, 1/8, and 1/12.  Everyone was so creative I wish I could post pictures of them all! The bright colors really brought some cheer and springtime feel to 4T.

MCAS Long Comp

The 4th grade MCAS Long Comp has been rescheduled for Monday March 25th. Please be sure to have a good breakfast and pack a healthy snack to keep you energized for the test!
